Helen creates small scale works that invite closer viewing. She find that making art in a series or grid encourages the viewer to move from one image to another, and back again. Her art is created from paper that she have painted, recycled, or have made. She is fascinated by the interplay of colour, the intrigue of a drawn or painted line, the trace of a brush mark, and how fabric threads can enhance a surface. Her training in art and textiles has led her to collages, exploring pattern, shape, and texture.
