ARTISAN GALLERY IN STOREHOUSE

THE ARTISAN GALLERY IS A DEDICATED GALLERY SPACE AVAILABLE TO HIRE FOR MONTHLY SOLO OR GROUP EXHIBITIONS TO ESTABLISHED OR EMERGING ARTISTS, CURATORS AND MAKERS.

The gallery is incorporated in Storehouse St Kilda sitting alongside the Storehouse Gallery and within the Storehouse retail space.

We will support successful applicants to conduct their exhibition in a way that creates ongoing growth of their practice. We have informed and passionate staff in attendance at all times to highlight the works and assist visitors and collectors.

Access Hours

Tuesday to Friday 11.00am – 5.00pm

Saturday and Sunday 10.00am – 5.00pm

Opening and Closing events can be conducted outside these hours upon approval up to 7:30pm

Space

The space is made up of hanging panels, fixed walls, wall and shelving areas and a small display platform.

Hanging panels x 4 = 1200mm X 2400mm each (panels are hung together)

Wall space = 2400mm X 3600mm

Wall and Shelving space = 1100mm x 6100mm (varied shelf widths)

Display platform = 2500mm x 3500mm

Lighting, hanging tracks and wires are included. 2 x plinths are available.

Hanging and distribution of works upon conclusion is the responsibility of the artist.

We can provide installation and hanging support if required @ $75.00 p/h.

Costs

One month space hire $1650.00 + GST

All other associated costs are the responsibility of the exhibitor/s.

Commission of 15% on sales of original pieces during Exhibition. Limited Edition and multiples attract a 25% commission.

Promotion

Storehouse will assist with promotion and publicity, including providing access to resources such our varied social media platforms and our extensive mailing list when probided with graphics.

Other services we can provide for promotion and publicity include:

Postcards - design and printing $180.00 (250 prints)
Decal for front window - design and installation $150.00 (We have front window space reserved for decal notices).

We encourage promotional events and have function facilities and resources available for these events. All events must be approved, and our facilities must be left as found. If catering (food and/or drinks) is included in an event, dedicated hospitality staff must be engaged. We can supply staff at $35.00 p/h for events.
