STOREHOUSE GALLERY
STOREHOUSE GALLERY IS A DEDICATED GALLERY SPACE AVAILABLE TO HIRE FOR MONTHLY SOLO OR GROUP EXHIBITIONS TO ESTABLISHED OR EMERGING ARTISTS, CURATORS AND MAKERS.
The gallery is incorporated in Storehouse St Kilda sitting alongside the Artisan Gallery and within the Storehouse retail space.
We will support successful applicants to conduct their exhibition in a way that creates ongoing growth of their practice. We have informed and passionate staff in attendance at all times to highlight the works and assist visitors and collectors.
Access Hours
Tuesday to Friday 11.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday and Sunday 10.00am – 5.00pm
Opening and Closing events can be conducted outside these hours upon approval up to 7:30pm
Space
The space is made up of hanging panels, fixed walls, wall and shelving areas and a small display platform.
Hanging panels x 11 = 1200mm X 2400mm each (panels are hung together)
Wall space = 2400mm X 11000mm
Window = 2 x panels 1200mm x 2400mm
Lighting, hanging tracks and wires are included. Plinths can be negotiated.
Installation of the exhibition and packing/distribution of all works upon conclusion is the responsibility of the artists.
Costs
One month space hire $2950.00 + GST (Lighting, hanging tracks and wires are included. 2 x plinths are available)
Commission of 15% on sales of original pieces during Exhibition. Limited Editions and multiples attract a 25% commission.
All other associated costs are the responsibility of the exhibitor/s.
All exhibitions require a minimum standard of presentation, promotion and logistics. These standards can be met by the exhibitor/s or delegated to Storehouse. We can provide all these services upon request @ $75.00 p/h.
These items include:
· Professional hanging or display of all works
· Pricelists print out
· Artwork Tags
· Online catalogue (Storehouse must be engaged to install this on our website)
Promotion
Storehouse will assist with promotion and publicity at our discretion by inclusion on our varied social media platforms and our extensive mailing list when provided with promotional material.
Other services we can provide for promotion and publicity include:
· Promotional Invitation detailing dates, times, address, RSVP etc.
· Postcards – design and printing $180.00 (250)
· Decal for front window – design and installation $150.00 (We have front window space reserved for this).
We encourage promotional events and have function facilities and resources available for these events. All events must be approved, and our facilities must be left as found. THE WORKSHOP
The Workshop is an incorporated space available for hire by educators and creatives to facilitate skill-sharing and learning experiences. Located at Storehouse St Kilda, it sits next to the Storehouse retail area, galleries, and working studios.
We help applicants host their events in ways that foster ongoing development in their field and help them achieve their goals. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff are always present to provide assistance.
Access Hours
Monday to Friday 9.00am – 9.00pm
Saturday and Sunday 9.00am – 9.00pm
Space and facilities
The space is 5m x 4m
Includes a conference table 360cm x 120cm (seating up to 16 people)
A fully stocked kitchen facility (excluding stove)
Costs
$40.00 per hour + GST
