Robert Lee Davis - My practice is influenced by stories, conversations, travel, landscape and urban activity. I use these encounters to present personal works on canvas, paper and board.

The public is meant to critique, consider, discuss, enjoy and view my work up close - preferably in a gallery space or studio setting.  During the time of Covid-19, I was compelled to reconsider notions of how my art is to be encountered.  Viewing Art online forced me to better understand or perhaps re-examine my meaning and purpose for making my art.

Urban Dream series reflects a revisit of previous works dealing with travel, country and story. Elements have been changed, redistributed and reworked to reflect my new thinking.  They reflect memories during lockdown. They are part reaction, part contemporary practice.
