My profound desire in my process is to open new dialogues for the understanding of Aboriginality and to locate a contemporary consciousness for the viewer that more truthfully represents this reality than the romantic and idealised interpretations of the past. In this I draw profoundly on my Irish Indigenous heritage, where my lived experience and historical record is exhaustively mined and combined with detailed research on given subjects.
