Oil on cradled board

My work grows from long days spent outdoors - while walking, sailing, and camping my curiosity is captured by shifting weather, encounters with wildlife, and visceral moments of awe, fear and joy. Out there, I make small drawings, notes, and recordings as ways of collecting my experiences. In the studio, those fragments develop into paintings that blur memories, feelings, and personal stories together. Through this act I learn about myself - reflecting and connecting with the world around me.

I am an emerging artist that divides my time between Melbourne/Naarm & Tasmania/Nipaluna where I spend time in the landscape, immersing myself in nature. My partner and I also run an emerging Artist Residency in Tasmania, Cloudstone AiR
