This body of work is about transforming remembered feelings of landscape without trying to mirror reality, but to paint something between the actuality of the natural environment and something that is in my head. I attempt to transform images beyond their representational interpretation and use heightened or subdued colours to create a sense of the experience or mood or feeling of being there.
